Thanks to a 2+2 partnership between FVCC and the University of Montana, FVCC students can earn an Associate of Science degree from FVCC and then apply for acceptance into UMs Elementary Education program with junior standing. Students can transfer to the UM Missoula campus to complete a bachelors degree or stay in the Flathead Valley and complete a bachelors degree through a UM distance learning cohort based at FVCC.

FVCC has a transfer articulation agreement with Montana State University - Bozeman that provides a clear pathway for students who plan to transfer to complete a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in the Department of Education at MSU. FVCC also has a transfer articulation agreement with Salish Kootenai College allowing students to transfer with junior status to complete a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary (K-8) Education
