High School Equivalency Test Prep Classes Begin Jan. 13

Flathead Valley Community College’s Adult Education program will offer classes beginning Monday, Jan. 13 to prepare students to take the Montana High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).

Classes will focus on the five subjects included in the HiSET: reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Additional assistance will be provided to help participants ready themselves for college and/or the workplace.

In order to register for the classes, students must be at least 16 years of age and participate in a skills assessment and attend an orientation Wednesday, Jan. 8.

FVCC’s Adult Education program also offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes throughout the year. These classes are designed for those wishing to improve their English speaking, reading and writing skills. Limited service and support are also available in Lake and Sanders counties.

There is no fee to participate in any of the classes offered by FVCC’s Adult Education program.
