FVCC’s Physical Therapist Assistant Pinning Ceremony is July 22

Flathead Valley Community College’s physical therapist assistant (PTA) pinning ceremony is Friday, July 22 at 11am in the Arts & Technology Building room 139 on FVCC’s Kalispell campus. Anyone interested in attending the PTA pinning ceremony is invited to campus for the event.

The PTA program is a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree that prepares students to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist upon successful completion of national licensing exams.

“Each aspect of the PTA program prepares our students to thrive in their careers after just two years at FVCC. We created the program back in 2011 to meet a need in our community, so our graduates have high job placement, many through local partnerships,” says Janice Heil, PTA Program Director.

After earning their degree and passing exams, PTAs work in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health, extended care facilities, schools and sports facilities.
