FVCC Culinary Students Host Dinner Series

Flathead Valley Community College’s Culinary Institute of Montana is hosting its Modernist Dinner Series beginning Friday with the last dinner scheduled for December.

The Friday dinners each begin at 6 p.m. on FVCC’s Kalispell campus in the culinary kitchen on the lower level of the Arts and Technology Building. There is a dinner on Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 18 and Dec. 9.

“Our second-year culinary students create menus and prepare dinners inspired by contemporary groundbreaking chefs for four delicious evenings,” says Culinary Program Director Chef Manda Hudak. “Everything from design to presentation, students create an experience at these dinners to celebrate the styles, ingredients and influences shaping American cuisine.”

Each dinner of the series is themed to a current movement or the latest topic in the food and beverage industry. Students create unique menus available one week in advance of each dinner.

• Oct. 14: Female Chefs
