CORE Experience

Join a group of 20 or fewer students and explore majors, prepare to transfer, and aim to finish your general education core curriculum in one academic year.

Your Core Experience includes:

  • Core Complete - Complete the General Education Core Curriculum Certificate (CTS) in one year and build a transfer plan in your freshman Core Experience seminar class, COLS 107.
  • Community - As part of Core Experience, you and your cohort take classes together, plan your educational paths and create lasting friendships.
  • Classes Twice a Week - For one academic year, Core Experience students are guaranteed a Tuesday/Thursday schedule of general education core curriculum courses.

Scholarships
Eligible students enrolled in Core Experience have the potential to earn a $500 scholarship for Fall and Spring semester of their first academic year.

Who Qualifies?

If this is your first semester in college, you are undecided or exploring programs, and plan to transfer after FVCC, you may qualify for Core Experience.
