FVCC accepting applications for Honors Program
Flathead Valley Community College’s Honors Program application is open now.
The deadline for first consideration is Nov. 15 for the January 2026 cohort. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis after this date.
Designed for students who thrive on critical thinking and innovative learning, FVCC’s Honors Program offers a rich blend of interdisciplinary courses that spark creativity and intellectual exploration. Taught in small, seminar-style classes by our distinguished faculty, the program encourages deep engagement with complex ideas, preparing you to think critically and act thoughtfully in an ever-changing world.
Program requirements are full-time enrollment (12+ credits) in an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree program; minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 (FVCC or high school GPA); Running Start students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The benefits for students include honors students receive a two-semester, in-district tuition scholarship (minus fees) for enrolling in Honors courses; small, interactive classes that have engaging discussions with peers and professors in focused, team-taught settings; exclusive opportunities to present research at FVCC’s annual student conference; connect with like-minded students, and enjoy access to the Honors-only study area, classroom and library.
Students in the Honors Program can transfer directly into the honors programs at the University of Montana and Montana State University and other institutions.
