FVCC Theatre to host special performance of Bangkok Sonata

MISSOULA, Mont. — Flathead Valley Community College’s Theatre Department and the Mask and Hammer Theatre Club will host Thailand’s Moradokmai Theatre Troupe for a one-night-only performance of “Bangkok Sonata.”

The free public performance is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. in the Joe Legate Black Box Theatre, located in FVCC’s Arts and Technology Building.

“Bangkok Sonata” tells the story of a legendary Khon dance teacher who faces a career-defining challenge: a sudden journey to Japan and just seven days to create a show that could determine his future.

Organizers say the production blends drama, culture, and movement in a way that highlights the power of art under pressure.
