FVCC’s Adult Education Program Offers Career and College Readiness Classes this Fall

Flathead Valley Community College’s Adult Education program will offer two classes at FVCC’s Kalispell and Libby campuses this fall to prepare students to take the Montana High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) and military veterans to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Classes begin on Sept. 3 and Oct. 28, and there is no fee to participate.

Classes will focus on building reading, writing, math, computer and study skills. Additional assistance will be provided to help participants ready themselves for college and/or the workplace.

In order to register for the classes, students must be at least 16 years of age and participate in a skills assessment and attend an orientation prior to the start of classes.

FVCC also offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes throughout the year. These classes are designed for those wishing to improve their English speaking, reading and writing skills.

Limited service and support are also available in Lake and Sanders counties.

For more information or to schedule an appointment for the orientation and skills assessment, call 756-3884 or visit www.fvcc.edu/adult-education.
