FVCC is very proud to offer our students a number of institutional and non-institutional scholarship opportunities. Scholarships can be based on merit, financial need, or other criteria. FVCC is grateful to the many community donors who provide scholarship assistance to the students at FVCC. All students are encouraged to apply annually for all of the scholarships at FVCC.
FVCC Institutional Scholarships. By completing the Institutional Scholarship Application, you will be considered for all scholarships for which you qualify. Listed in this scholarship brochure are the scholarships currently available for the 2017-2018 academic year.
FVCC Academic Scholarship. If you are degree seeking, have earned 30 credits at FVCC, and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, then you may qualify for the FVCC Academic Scholarship. This scholarship will waive your tuition for two semesters and must be used within two years of establishing eligibility. For the application and/or more information, please stop by the Financial Aid Office.
FVCC Summer 2017 Scholarship. To qualify, students be registered for at least 5 credits, have financial need, and are enrolled in Spring 2017 semester. The application is available in the financial aid office. Application deadline is March 24, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Outside Scholarship Opportunities:
The Nordmeier/Tafoya Scholarship. Student must have a permanent disability, enrolled for at least 12 semester credits each semester for 2017-2018. The application is available in the Financial Aid Office. applications deadline is April 5, 2017.
Flathead County Democratic Women Scholarship. 4 scholarships available at $500. Student must be graduates of Flathead County High Schools or FVCC. Student must demonstrate financial need and be interested in learning the philosophy of the Democratic Party. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. Application deadline is April 14, 2017.
Montana Cattlewomen Inc., Memorial Scholarship. Student must be from Montana and be at least a sophomore in college with a 2.7 or higher GPA. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in a field beneficial to the livestock industry. Also, student from AG-oriented family may be given preference. 2017 Katy Payne Scholarship. $1000. Students should be females enrolled in a nursing program, other related health care fields, or law government of public service. Applications are available at www.firstumcmissoula.org. Application deadline is April 15, 2017.
Sons of Norway Transfer Scholarship. $2000. Students my have applied for graduation for Spring 2017 semester from a two-year academic program at FVCC. Students must be transferring to an accredited four-year academic or vocational/technical institution. Application deadline is April 28, 2017.
North Valley Hospital Auxiliary. $1000. Student must be a North Valley resident and pursing a nursing or health related field. Application is available in the financial aid office. Application deadline is May 1, 2017.
Whitefish Rotary Scholarship. Amount of the scholarship is tuition and fees for the 2017-2018 academic year not to exceed 18 credits. Student must be full time. Student must live or reside within the geographic boundaries of School District No 44 and demonstrate financial need. The recipient must attend a Whitefish Rotary meeting to formally receive their scholarship and commit to attend at least one Rotary Club meeting each semester for which they receive the scholarship. Application deadline is May 1, 2017.
