FVCC is very proud to offer our students a number of institutional and non-institutional scholarship opportunities. Scholarships can be based on merit, financial need, or other criteria. FVCC is grateful to the many community donors who provide scholarship assistance to the students at FVCC. All students are encouraged to apply annually for all of the scholarships at FVCC.

Institutional Scholarships:

FVCC Institutional Scholarships. By completing the Institutional Scholarship Application, you will be considered for all scholarships for which you qualify. Listed in this scholarship brochure are the scholarships currently available for the 2017-2018 academic year.

FVCC Academic Scholarship. If you are degree seeking, have earned 30 credits at FVCC, and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, then you may qualify for the FVCC Academic Scholarship. This scholarship will waive your tuition for two semesters and must be used within two years of establishing eligibility. For the application and/or more information, please stop by the Financial Aid Office.

Outside Scholarship Opportunities:

The Rod and Custom Scholarship. 5 – $1,000 scholarships. Students must be entering their second year of their two year program. Student must demonstrate an interest in an automotive related hobby, including street rods, customs, and custom trucks. Student must also have a desire to remain in Montana after they graduate. Applications must be received by the association by December 1, 2017 and are available in the financial aid office.

Donald E. Pizzini Memorial Nurse Scholarship Program. $1000 scholarship. Students must be enrolled in Nursing with an emphasis on long term care. The application is available on-line at www.mthealthcare.org. Application deadline is February 29, 2018.

Live Your Dream Soroptimist scholarship. Student must provide the primary financial support for themselves and their dependents. Student must have financial need and be motivated to achieve their education and career goals. Application can be picked up in the financial aid office or requested electronically be e-mailing dwhitten@fvcc.edu. Applications must be mailed to Barb Mansfield, 808 Waverly Pl. Whitefish, MT 59937 postmarked by Nov. 15, 2017. Questions on the application processes can be directed to Barb at 862-8201.

Soroptimist International of Whitefish Past Presidents Scholarship. 5 @ $2,000. Student must be a graduate of Whitefish High School, Whitefish Independent High School, or Columbia Falls High School. Student also must be a Sophomore or higher, be pursing a major/career with will help women and children, have financial need, and have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA. Applications are available in the financial aid office. Application must be received by the committee by December 10, 2017.
