FVCC is very proud to offer our students a number of institutional and non-institutional scholarship opportunities. Scholarships can be based on merit, financial need, or other criteria. FVCC is grateful to the many community donors who provide scholarship assistance to the students at FVCC. All students are encouraged to apply annually for all of the scholarships at FVCC.
Institutional Scholarship Opportunities:
FVCC Academic Scholarship. To qualify students must have completed 30 credits at FVCC and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA. This scholarship will waive tuition for two semesters. Students must apply. Application is available in the Financial Aid Office.
Outside Scholarship Opportunities:
Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship. Available to students that are enrolled and pursuing a degree in the Advanced Manufacturing programs of study.
Donald E Pizzini Memorial Nurse Scholarship Program. Up to $1000 award. Student must be interested in pursuing or advancing a career in nursing with an emphasis on long term care. Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and must be a Montana resident and plan to remain in Montana to work after graduation. The application can be found at www.mthealthcare.org. Application deadline is February 28, 2017.
Flathead Electric Cooperative “Non-Traditional” Student Scholarship. Student must be a member of Flathead Electric Cooperative and must be served by the Co-op at his/her primary residence. The application is available in the Financial Aid Office. Application deadline is March 17, 2017.
Montana Food Distributors Association. Students must be associated with the Food Industry through either employment or family relationships in the Industry. Application is available in the Financial Aid Office. The application deadline is March 20, 2017.
The Nordmeier/Tafoya Scholarship. Student must have a permanent disability, enrolled for at least 12 semester credits each semester for 2017-2018. The application is available in the Financial Aid Office. applications deadline is April 5, 2017.
Flathead Building Association John & Joe Norrish Memorial Scholarship. Student must be majoring in a course of study in a construction related field. The application is available in the Financial Aid Office.
Montana Cattlewomen Inc., Memorial Scholarship. Student must be from Montana and be at least a sophomore in college with a 2.7 or higher GPA. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in a field beneficial to the livestock industry. Also, student from AG-oriented family may be given preference. Student can complete the application at https://montanacattlewomen.
Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship Program. Student must be a Veteran, expect to be full time and graduating from their program in the 2017-2018 academic year, and have a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students also must be majoring in a Skilled Trades program, such as electronic systems, HVAC, welding, or other industrial trades or a Public Safety program such as paramedicine or emergency management. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. Application deadline is March 17, 2017.
Flathead County Democratic Women Scholarship. 4 scholarships available at $500. Student must be graduates of Flathead County High Schools or FVCC. Student must demonstrate financial need and be interested in learning the philosophy of the Democratic Party. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. Application deadline is April 14, 2017.
2017 Katy Payne Scholarship. $1000. Students should be females enrolled in a nursing program, other related health care fields, or law government of public service. Applications are available at www.firstumcmissoula.org. Application deadline is April 15, 2017.
