Janice E. Alexander

Dr. Alexander's focus is catalyzing student success in STEM. She integrates instrumentation, including FTIR, GCMS, and NMR, into entry-level coursework in chemistry and forensic science and develops online chemistry courses to reach rural students. She oversees undergraduate research in synthesis and medicinal properties of chalcones and analysis of food and beverage components. Her work has been presented at national American Chemical Society (ACS) meetings and published. Dr. Alexander is a member of the American Chemical Society.
