Wilderness Speaker Series: The Trails That Support Our Ancestors

April 26, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

The indigenous trail network connected our ancestors to the vital resources that made it possible for generations not just to survive, but to thrive in their homelands. Professor Tim Ryan, department head of the Culture and Language Studies department at Salish Kootenai College, will present on the seasonal rounds and movements of the Salish.

The Wilderness Speaker Series brings timely and interesting wilderness topics to the public to raise awareness and inspire community discussion. Presented by the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation, Wild Montana Flathead-Kootenai Chapter, Northwest Montana Fire Lookout Association, and the FVCC Natural Resources Conservation Management program.
