Moradokmai Theatre Performance

Join the Moradokmai Theatre on campus for a contemporary Thai pop and fusion concert and the short musical play A Tale of Angulimala.

Moradokmai Theatre Community and Homeschool is a non-profit and self-reliance-based organization under the care of the Kumut Chandruang Foundation. Moradokmai was established as a theatre community and homeschool in 2005 by Kru Chang – Janaprakal Chandruang, a dramatist, Thai National Artist and alumnus of FVCC and the University of Montana.

Morodokmai, or “The New Heritage” encourages its students to cultivate the legacy of the traditional trainings, while finding the balance with the modern pedagogy of dance, music, and theatre. Through the concept of Ashram, the young artists meditate on Thai roots and Buddhism in parallel with other musical and theatrical trainings. Since 2007, Moradokmai has been traveling abroad to perform in festivals and performing arts conferences.
