What type of programs are offered through Continuing Education?
Continuing Education offers non-credit classes, business and computer workshops, customized training, professional development and Kids College. Continuing Education also houses the Small Business Development Center.
When can I register for Continuing Education classes?
Registration for Continuing Education classes is on-going; there are no set registration dates. Registration begins as soon as the semester schedule is printed and posted online. All classes require a minimum number of students and many have a limited maximum enrollment. Register early to ensure a space is available.
What are the Continuing Education Center hours?
The Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed on Saturday and Sunday).
How do I register for classes?
There are five ways to register for non-credit classes:

- Call: (406) 756-3832 to register with credit/debit card payment.
- Fax: (406) 756-3351 a completed registration form with credit/debit card information.
- Visit: The Continuing Education Center; Arts & Technology Building, Room 215.
- Mail: Your registration form with check (payable to FVCC) to: The Continuing Education Center; Flathead Valley Community College; 777 Grandview Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
Do I have to pay for classes when I register?
Yes. Payment is due at the time of registration. Employers may be billed with an authorization from a company official.
What is the total cost of my class?
The amount listed with each class is the total price including any lab fees. If there are additional supplies or a book you must purchase, it will be noted in the course description.
If I withdraw from a class, do I get my money back?
- A $10 service fee will be retained on each refunded class.
- Please see the Refund Schedule for specific refund windows.
*Lab fees are non-refundable.
Special Programs and Courses
Due to requirements for early commitments of funds or other special circumstances, some programs have specific refund procedures. These will be noted within the class description.

What happens if a class is canceled?
Classes that do not receive sufficient enrollment may be canceled. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified and a full refund will be processed. Payments made by credit/debit card will be reapplied to your account. Payments made by check or cash will be refunded by check and mailed within 1-2 weeks.
Does Continuing Education offer non-credit online courses?
Continuing Education offers hundreds of online courses that you can take from the comfort of your home and office at the times that are most convenient for you. Classes begin each month and run for six weeks; lessons provided twice a week. Many Ed2Go classes are also self-paced. (www.ed2go.com/fvccce)
Can I use financial aid to pay for my classes? Are there scholarships or financial assistance?
Financial aid is not available for non-credit classes, nor are there scholarships or financial assistance.
Is there homework or tests for non-credit classes? Do I receive a grade?
On occasion, there may be a project or task to complete between classes. In most instances, there will be no homework or tests. Non-credit classes are not graded.
Are there discounts for seniors?
If you are age 65 or older, you receive a $5 discount on any non-credit class that has a fee of $20 or more.
Is there a charge for community lectures? Do I have to register?
Community lectures are free and open to the public; you do not need to register.
