Miss a video an instructor showed in class?
If the video shown in your class was from the Media Center’s library, you may make an appointment to view it in the Media Center. Media Center videos aren’t circulated to students or the community, but anyone may make an appointment to view materials in the Media Center’s viewing room.
Need help with a class presentation?
If you need access to a locked computer workstation in your classroom for a presentation or if you need assistance connecting your own laptop to the room’s data projector, let us know and we’ll help you out!
We also provide assistance with creating presentations. We can help you create a PowerPoint presentation or digitize material for inclusion in your presentation. If you need photos or documents scanned, make an appointment to use our scanner. You’ll need to bring a USB flash drive or CD to store your material on so you can take it with you.
Need to print in color?
If your color printing needs are for school purposes (not personal), we have color printers that you may access. Please bring the material that needs to be printed on a USB flash drive, if possible. We have a computer you can log into to access your student drives if needed. There is currently no fee for this service. If demand increases, we may need to start charging a fee for paper and printer ink. If you wish to keep it free, don’t abuse the privilege. Color printing needs for personal use should be taken to a local print shop. Be assured that we will ask what you want to print!
Need a graphing calculator for math or chemistry class?
Go to the “calculator rentals” tab to learn how to rent a graphing calculator for the semester.
Need access to specialized equipment for a class?
In general, Media Services does not loan or rent out equipment except calculators for student use without an instructor referral. The equipment loaned must be used for school-related purposes and it must be checked out on your current FVCC library card. In some cases, you may need to ask your instructor to contact us to approve borrowing equipment for a special project. In other cases, your instructor may send you to Media Services to check out equipment that is held specifically in reserve for your particular course. See the “Equipment” tab to find a list of equipment that might be available for you to use.
