Sociology is largely concerned with the study of American society and how it operates today. Graduates may work in fields including sociology, social work, criminal justice, teaching and a wide range of social service professions.

The University of Montana – Missoula offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with options in General Sociology, Criminology, Rural and Environmental Change, and Inequality and Social Justice. Montana State University – BozemanĀ offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with emphases in Anthropology, Justice Studies, and Sociology.
