Medical Assistant Credentialing Exam

FVCC will offer the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) exam beginning in June 2018. The NCCT is an independent credentialing organization that offers healthcare exams for multiple professionals. There are 3 requirement routes to choose from for eligibility to sit for an exam. The credential title for a Certified Medical Assistant through NCCT is NCMA.

FVCC offers a 1-credit Medical Assisting Exam Preparation course during spring semester, which starts January. If you are planning to take this class you will need to be admitted as a student (visit www.fvcc.edu/apply to apply for admission) and register for AHMA_280_01.

Information about eligibility criteria, application requirements, examination fees and scheduling, and maintaining certification is located on the National Center for Competency Testing web site at www.ncctinc.com.

The first NCCT Medical Assistant exam will be offered through the  FVCC Testing Center.
