Vietnam Veterans of America Presents Gift to Support FVCC Veterans’ Monument Project

On behalf of the Northwest Montana Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, L.D. Gross presented FVCC student and veteran Adam Jones with a check for $1900 on May 1 to benefit the construction of a monument on campus honoring all veterans.

The Northwest Montana Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) presented $1900 to FVCC’s Veterans’ Association on May 1 to support the construction of a “Reflections Monument” on campus in honor of all of America’s veterans.

FVCC’s Veterans’ Association is accepting submissions of an artist rendering for the monument until September 1.  A committee will review all submissions and decide upon which concept to pursue. The artist who submits the winning concept will be awarded $500.

For contest details and artist rendering criteria, visit www.fvcc.edu/veterans-monument or email veterans@fvcc.edu.

The VVA and FVCC’s Veterans’ Association are active organizations that promote and support Northwest Montana’s veteran community through various activities. The Flathead Valley has the highest concentration of veterans in the state of Montana, and approximately five percent of FVCC students are veterans.
