Veterans Upward Bound Offers Free College Prep Courses at FVCC

Veterans Invited to Informational Orientation October 1

Veterans Upward Bound will offer courses free of charge for eligible veterans at Flathead Valley Community College beginning the week of October 13.

 

Veteran’s Upward Bound is a U.S. Department of Education program designed to help military veterans refresh their academic skills so they can successfully complete postsecondary education. The courses offered at FVCC include Introduction to Computers, Introduction to College Math and Algebra and Introduction to College Writing and Grammar Review.

 

Potential and registered Veterans Upward Bound students interested in learning more about the courses and touring the classrooms are invited to an informational orientation October 1. The orientation will be held in the FVCC Veteran’s Center in the Learning Resource Center Building from 5 to 6 p.m. Application information will be available, and complimentary refreshments will be served.
