Tickets Still Available for First Oktoberfest FVCC Chef's Table Dinner
The Culinary Institute of Montana at Flathead Valley Community College will present an Oktoberfest themed Chef’s Table Dinner October 11. The event will mark the first time the Chef’s Table program has prepared a dinner themed around Oktoberfest. During this special dinner, patrons will enjoy beer pairings by Tamarack Brewing Company with each course.
Dinner will be served inside the 3,224-square-foot instructional kitchen in the college’s Arts and Technology Building where the students will be responsible for the entire presentation including the food and beverage preparation, plating and service. During the event, instructor and world-trained Chef Howard Karp will serve as the evening’s emcee, introducing each course and how it is prepared. At the program’s conclusion, the students will introduce themselves and identify their roles of the evening.
The Oktoberfest dinner will feature stuffed mushrooms with spinach; German goulash soup; loin of pork with prune stuffing, braised red cabbage, brussels sprouts, herb spaetzle and riesling applesauce; and sweet cheese dumplings, crème anglaise and stewed fruit.
Tickets for Oktoberfest are $69 per person. Additional Chef’s Table dinners will take place every Friday night through December 6, excluding November 29.
