Shed Constructed by FVCC Students, Campus Corps Members and Community Members to be Raffled as Habitat Fundraiser

Members of Flathead Valley Community College Campus Corps have joined FVCC students and community members to construct a shed to be raffled as a fundraiser for Flathead Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Volunteers are gathering today and tomorrow for Habitat for Humanity Shed Building Day, an effort involving the construction of one 8’X12’ shed to be raffled off with proceeds benefiting the community-based organization that seeks to provide affordable housing for low-income Flathead Valley residents who are currently living in substandard housing.

Construction of the shed will wrap up at 4 p.m. today and will continue tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. behind the Occupational Trades Building on the FVCC campus.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Habitat for Humanity Restore located at 215 West Idaho Street in Kalispell and at the FVCC Bookstore in Blake Hall on the college campus.  Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20.  Each raffle ticket provides the ticket holder two chances to win the shed.  The drawing will take place June 1.
