Obtain Certified Nurse Aid License at FVCC
Flathead Valley Community College offers a Nurse’s Aide Training course that enables students to obtain a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) License. The college will offer two sections of the CNA course starting in August and another starting in October.
Through hands-on clinical training, the intensive course teaches students the skills and applications required to address the needs of chronically-ill patients in long-term care facilities. Students also gain understanding of basic medical terminology, basic human anatomy and physiology and the aging process.
At the end of the course, students are given the CNA test approved by the state of Montana. Students who pass the test will obtain their CNA licenses and become certified and eligible to work in assisted living facilities.
CNA application packets can be obtained online at www.fvcc.edu/cna.html or on campus in the Nursing Office, Learning Resource Center or Registration Office. Anyone wishing to enroll in the CNA course will need to complete the required immunizations, pass a background check and obtain a signature from the college Nursing Office staff before registering. Applicants should bring their completed application packets and documentation of required immunizations to the Nursing Office in order to receive the required signature on their registration forms.
