New Businesses Benefit from Summer Classes at FVCC

Stephanie Juneau, director of the Northwest Montana Small Business Development Center, will teach two classes at FVCC in August designed to help small businesses be more profitable.

In partnership with the Northwest Montana Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Flathead Valley Community College is offering two classes in August designed for new and growing businesses. Stephanie Juneau, director of the Northwest Montana SBDC, will present “Evaluate a Business Idea” on August 15 and “Profit Mastery: Creating Value and Building Wealth” August 16-17.

“Evaluate a Business Idea” is a 90-minute class that walks participants through the process of evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a business idea to determine whether it is feasible. Juneau will cover startup costs, market opportunity, financial projections and financing options. The class runs from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the college. There is no cost to participate in the class, but pre-registration is required.

“Profit Mastery: Creating Value and Building Wealth” is a 16-hour class that helps small business owners and managers gain an in-depth understanding of how money flows through their business and what adjustments can be made to maximize profits and cash flow. The class runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the college. Cost to participate is $295 per person and includes a course manual, 90-day online access to resources and support materials, and light refreshments. Each registered participant may bring one additional person from his/her business to the class for no extra cost.

To register for either of these classes, contact the FVCC Continuing Education Center at (406) 756-3832 or visit
