Flathead Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Center and the Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival invite the public to a free guitar seminar taught by Carl Dixon, the lead singer of the rock band The Guess Who. The workshop will be held June 24 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the large meeting room inside the Arts and Technology Building on campus.

Guitarists and music lovers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. Participants can bring their own guitars if they wish to play during the workshop, but hands-on participation is not required.

In addition to being the front man for The Guess Who, Dixon is a published author, international speaker and Canadian rock legend who has also performed with Coney Hatch and April Wine.

In 2008, Dixon was critically injured in a car accident, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury, collapsed lungs, crushed legs and a broken arm. His eight-year journey back to join The Guess Who on stage this year demonstrates the power of determination and a positive mindset, a message he strives to relay to his audiences.
