K-8 educators can earn college credits and satisfy Office of Public Instruction (OPI) renewal requirements by participating in the final week of Flathead Valley Community College’s annual summer Teacher Camp June 19-23.
Teachers can choose from the following classes:
Morning classes (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) Making Social Studies Relevant for K-8; Fun with Music in the General Classroom for K-8; Tech for Teachers – Integrating Technology into Every Lesson; ABC’s and 123’s of K-3 Reading and Math.
Afternoon classes (1- 4 p.m.) Relationship Growth for Students with Educational Disabilities; Art, Centers and Writing for K-1.
Participants will learn best practices and take away lessons that can be implemented in their classrooms this fall. Lunch is provided each day. All classes take place on FVCC’s Kalispell campus.
