FVCC to Offer Informational Session on Shakespeare's London Study Abroad Tour

Flathead Valley Community College will host an informational session on its Shakespeare’s London study abroad tour for the community November 6 at 4 p.m. in room 206 inside the Arts and Technology Building on campus.

During the presentation, Shakespearian literature authority and FVCC English and Theatre Arts Professor Brian Bechtold will share the sights and times of Elizabethan period London through the eyes of Shakespeare.  The lecture is open to Shakespeare enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning more about the study abroad program.

Shakespeare’s London study abroad tour will take place from March 28 through April 6, 2014 in London, England.  While in London, students will visit historical landmarks, cathedrals and legendary sites associated with Shakespeare and Elizabethan England, including the Globe Theatre, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the British Museum and other museums and art galleries.  Students also will spend a day in Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, and will attend a live Shakespeare performance in the heart of London’s theatre district.

Space in the program is limited.  A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is due to the FVCC Business Office in order to reserve a place in the program. Final payment is due by December 13.  Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate without a parent or legal guardian.  Financial assistance is available to qualifying students.  Payment plan options also are available.
