FVCC to Host Earth Day Festivities
The Flathead Valley Community College Renewable Resources Club will host a variety of activities April 22 in celebration of Earth Day. Activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside and behind Blake Hall on the college campus.
Activities will include:
- Earth Day Art Contest featuring local area grade school children’s art comprised of recyclable materials;
- Interactive stations providing information ranging from water quality and the Flathead County landfill to toxic waste and the economics of recycling;
- An informative cardboard maze, a cornstarch toxic waste pond and a mini-miniature golf course; and
- Information and products of various local businesses that practice green services.
