FVCC Theatre to Hold Auditions for "Opal"

Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will hold auditions for its upcoming production of “Opal” scheduled for April 17 through 19 and 24 through 26.  This award-winning musical by Robert Lindsey-Nassif tells the story of a seven-year-old aristocratic girl who is orphaned in a shipwreck and placed in an Oregon lumber camp in 1904.  Her one desire is to find a way to return to her parents and her former life.  To survive, she creates a world of fantasy and enchantment.

Acting auditions will be held February 10 at 6 p.m. in the FVCC Theatre inside the Arts and Technology Building on the college campus.  Participants should prepare a short contemporary monologue and 16 bars of a musical theatre song.

Auditions are open to the public, and acting experience is not required.  For more information, contact director Joe Legate at jlegate@fvcc.edu or at 756-3906.
