FVCC Theatre presents Shakespeare's "As You Like It"
Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will open its spring season with William Shakespeare’s, “As You Like It,” an engaging comedy to warm hearts and chase away any winter blues. As the title suggests, this play features everything the audience could want: good guys, evil bad guys, lovers, heroes and a bit of philosophy to provide playgoers pause for thought. The play is certainly family-friendly, but younger audience members may find the language challenging.
“As You Like It” is about love, but it’s also about social status and upheaval.
Families, friends and lovers are torn apart as the forces of evil are driven by greed and desire for power, but more powerful are charity and friendship. The strife and turmoil can only end one way: “As You Like It.”
Performances will take place February 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 in the FVCC Theatre inside the Arts & Technology building on the college campus. All performances will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening 30 minutes prior to showtimes. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens and free admission for all students.
