FVCC Summer Session B Classes Start July 15

Flathead Valley Community College will launch its Session B summer classes July 15 offering college students the opportunity to earn college credits in five weeks.


Class registration is open to new and returning students.  Courses that will be offered include Human Geography; Personal Finance; Montana Indians:  Culture, History and Current Issues; and College Writing I.  The full course schedule of credit classes and course descriptions are available on the college’s website,


For degree-seeking students, a complete admissions file, including a completed application for admission, high school transcripts or diploma and an official copy of college transcripts if applicable, and proof of two measles, mumps and rubella immunizations, is required.  The application may be completed on the college’s website or in the Admissions Office via paper application at no cost.  Degree-seeking students also are required to complete the COMPASS placement test prior to registering for classes.  Non-degree seeking students are subject to different admissions requirements.  For more information, call 756-3846 or 756-3942, or visit


Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students with completed admissions files can register online on the college’s website.  Others can register in the college’s Admissions Office in Blake Hall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Students who enroll in Session B summer classes at FVCC will be eligible to participate in remaining summer intramural activities organized by the college at significantly reduced prices.  Activities include a whitewater rafting trip; Danny On hike with scenic chairlift ride, zip line tour at Whitefish Mountain Resort; Swan River and Flathead River kayak adventures; Glacier National Park tour and hike; Whitefish Trail mountain bike ride; and Kootenai Falls and Swinging Bridge/Ross Creek Cedars hike.  Prices range from free to $25 per adventure, depending on the activity.  For the complete schedule of activities and registration information, visit or contact Intramurals Program Coordinator Sarah Bergford at 756-3893 or at
