FVCC Summer Experience Offers Free College Credits for High School Students
Flathead Valley Community College is now accepting applications from eligible high school students for the Summer Experience program. Designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior years this fall, the Summer Experience program offers students the opportunity to earn free college credits during the summer. The priority deadline to apply is April 27.
Students may choose from a selection of courses and can earn up to four college credits. Courses include, American History, College Writing, Introduction to Interpersonal Communications, Introduction to Psychology, Medical Terminology and Programming with Java I. Classes will run Monday through Wednesday from July 5 to August 3. Morning classes begin at 8:15 a.m. or 9 a.m. and afternoon activities conclude at 1:15 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to explore career options, participate in intramural activities or engage in service learning projects.
A complimentary lunch is provided to students each day. In addition, each student receives a free text book and an FVCC tee-shirt.
Space in the program is limited and early registration is encouraged. Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors, the FVCC Admissions Office in Blake Hall on campus or online at www.fvcc.edu/summerexperience.
