FVCC Summer Experience Offers Free College Credits for High School Students

Summer-ExperienceFlathead Valley Community College’s Summer Experience program will return for its second year, offering local high school students a unique way to earn free college credits.

 

Designed to give participating students an authentic college experience, the four-week program will include a three-credit college course, lunch, career exploration, intramurals and service learning volunteer activities. In addition to free college credits, each Summer Experience student will receive complimentary lunch, supplies, course textbook and an FVCC bag and t-shirt.

 

Students will have the opportunity to choose to enroll in one of five Summer Experience courses that will be offered. Courses will include Public Speaking, Introduction to Theatre, College Writing I, Math for the Liberal Arts and Medical Terminology.

 

Open to high school students entering their junior or senior years this fall, the half-day program will run June 22 through July 15, from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., three days per week. The deadline to apply for participation in the program is April 30.
