FVCC Registering for Late-starting Courses
Flathead Valley Community College is now registering students for its fall semester late-starting courses. Students are encouraged to register early as classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
Courses beginning the week of August 31 include Beginning Yoga, Introduction to Ceramics, Introduction to Ecology Lab, Introduction to General Engineering, Commercial Truck Driver, Introduction to Heavy Equipment Operations and Geology of Northwest Montana. Courses starting the week of September 8 include Customer Service Strategies, Field Botany, Small Business Entrepreneurship, Basic Microsoft Office and Nursing Assistant. Courses beginning the week of September 14 include Medical Emergencies I and Hospital Clinical I. Courses starting the week of September 28 include Medical Document Formatting, Professional Business Communication, Instructional Technology, Introduction to Human Services/Social Work, Introductory Algebra, Introduction to Sociology, Fabrication Basics I and College Writing I. Other late-starting courses will be offered starting in October and November.
Class registration is open to returning students. Before registering for classes, returning students with current admissions files should contact their faculty advisors or an academic advisor in the FVCC Learning Center by calling 756-3880. New degree-seeking students applying for admission to the college are required to have a complete admissions file, which includes completed application for admission; high school transcripts or diploma and an official copy of college transcripts, if applicable; proof of two measles, mumps and rubella immunizations; and completion of the COMPASS placement test. Non-degree seeking students are subject to different admissions requirements and should contact the Admissions Office at 756-3851 for more information.
