FVCC Offers Workshop on Leadership and Success in a Challenging Economy

The Flathead Valley Community College Continuing Education Center will offer a workshop on leadership and success and how to beat the odds in today’s challenging economy on January 30.

Instructed by Morrie Shechtman, the non-credit workshop will help participants understand which changes to make and skills to develop in order to survive and thrive in today’s challenging economy.  Topics that will be addressed include:  redefining and restructuring performance management; the new value of management to the organization; core values, organizational morality and ethics; and the new leader versus the old manager.  The workshop will be highly interactive, involving participant exercises, discussion and information sharing.

Shechtman is chairman of Fifth Wave Leadership and has consulted with hundreds of top executives worldwide about managing disruptive change, creating growth-oriented, self-sustaining corporate culture and developing leaders who broadly and deeply impact both bottom line results and quality of life.  A highly sought after speaker, Shechtman has lectured on the connection between personal and professional transformation and productivity to audiences through the United States and abroad.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in room 139 in the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.  The cost to register is $80.  For more information or to register to attend, call 756-3832, email ceinfo@fvcc.edu or visit www.fvcc.edu/continuingeducation.html.
