FVCC Offers Ground School Training for Pilots of Fixed-Wing, Single-Engine Planes
FVCC’s Continuing Education Center will offer ground school training for people interested in learning to fly single-engine, fixed-wing airplanes. Approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), “Guided Flight Discovery” is a 16-week ground school designed to prepare students to become safe, proficient pilots and pass the test required to obtain a private pilot certificate for single-engine, fixed-wing planes. The class is scheduled for Thursday evenings from February 2 to May 18.
Cost of the class is $1,225 plus an additional $100-275 for books and tools. Flight training is available at the Kalispell City Airport at Montana Air Adventures, a division of Red Eagle Aviation, for an additional cost.
Registration for the course begins January 4. For more information, call the Continuing Education Center at 756-3832 or visitwww.fvcc.edu/continuing-education.
