FVCC Now Accepting Applications for 2016-2017 Practical Nursing Program

Flathead Valley Community College is now accepting applications for fall entry into the Practical Nursing program. The deadline for application submissions is April 29 at 4 p.m.

Students who have completed or will be completing all of the required prerequisite courses this spring and have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 in those courses are eligible to apply for admission into the program. Admission criteria include: the applicant’s grade point average for required prerequisite courses, letters of reference, and a cover letter or an essay. Top applicants will be asked to participate in small group interviews as part of the initial selection process. Final acceptance into the program requires passing a background check, proof of required immunizations and proof of current personal health insurance. The college will admit up to 20 new students into the program on the Kalispell campus and up to eight new students into the Lincoln County Campus program.

New students are required to complete the FVCC application for admission and follow the steps for enrolling, including submitting official transcripts if transfer credits are to be considered. Application packets and additional information about the program are available at www.fvcc.edu/practicalnursing.html. Applications may be dropped off at the college’s Admissions Office or mailed to:  FVCC Admissions Office-Practical Nursing, 777 Grandview Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
