FVCC Now Accepting Applications for 2013-2014 Practical Nursing Program

Flathead Valley Community College is accepting applications for fall entry into the 2013-2014 practical nursing program.  The deadline for application submissions is April 26 at 4 p.m.

FVCC students who have completed or will be completing all of the required prerequisite courses this spring and have a 2.75 minimum grade point average in those prerequisite courses are eligible to apply for admission into the program.  Admission criteria includes:  the applicant’s grade point average for the required prerequisite courses; proof of required immunizations; letters of reference; paid and volunteer health care experience; and a cover letter or essay.  Top applicants may be asked to participate in small group interviews as part of the initial selection process.  Final acceptance requires passing a background check, testing negative for active tuberculosis, and proof of current personal health insurance.  The college will admit 20 students into the program this fall semester.

New students are required to complete the FVCC application for admission and follow the steps for enrolling, including submitting official transcripts if transfer credits are to be considered.  Student information and application packets containing information necessary to complete the application process are available on the college website at http://www.fvcc.edu/practicalnursing.html.  Applications may be dropped off at the college’s Admissions Office or mailed to:  FVCC Admissions Office, 777 Grandview Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
