FVCC Logger Sports hosting fundraiser dinner and auction
MISSOULA, Mont. — The Flathead Valley Community College Logger Sports team is inviting the community to a fundraiser dinner and silent auction next month to help cover travel costs for its upcoming season.
The event is set for Friday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the Wachholz College Center’s Stinson Family Event Center gymnasium on campus in Kalispell. Proceeds will support the team as it travels to regional competitions this spring.
Logger Sports is the only intercollegiate athletic team at FVCC. Founded in 1972, the team has won 14 championships at the Association of Western Forestry Clubs Conclave. In 1998, FVCC became the first two-year college to win the championship and remains the only school to claim five consecutive titles.
This spring, the team will compete at the 86th annual conclave hosted by California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
Tickets for the March 13 fundraiser are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. The price includes a barbecue dinner catered by D and T Barbecue. Tickets are available online at the college’s website.
