FVCC Hosts Red, White & Blue Run

Proceeds to Benefit FVCC Veterans Association Endowment Fund

 

Flathead Valley Community College invites the college community to participate in the second annual Red, White & Blue Run in honor of September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. The non-timed 3K fun run/walk will take place September 11 at 4 p.m. on the college campus in Kalispell and will be open to FVCC students and community, including employees, alumni, ambassadors, trustees, donors and families.

 

Participants will be doused with non-toxic red and blue-colored cornstarch powder throughout the course. Sponsored by the FVCC Service Learning and Campus Rec programs, the family-friendly race will be appropriate for all ages.

 

The cost to participate is $15 for each FVCC student and $20 for each member of the college community. Admission will includes a race shirt, FVCC sunglasses and a red, white and blue treat. Proceeds will benefit the FVCC Veterans Association Endowment Fund in honor of local veterans and first responders.

 

Race registration is limited, so interested participants are encouraged to register early. Registrations can be completed online at www.fvcc.edu/rwbrun. Registration forms also are available in the FVCC Intramurals Office in Blake Hall. The deadline to register is September 10 at noon depending on available space.
