FVCC Hosts Free Lecture on South African Photographic Adventure

Flathead Valley Community College will welcome Nick Fucci, award-winning and internationally-published photographer of Bigfork, who will present a free community lecture showcasing his recent trip to South Africa September 22. The event will be open to the public and will take place at 7 p.m. in the large community room in the Arts & Technology Building on the college’s Kalispell campus.

 

Fucci spent this May traversing the borders of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia and capturing images of the region’s geography and wildlife. Fucci will share his photographs, experiences and stories from his trip.

 

Fucci’s works have been published in over 70 different magazines, books and calendars throughout 11 countries including cover images in Alaska magazine, Flathead Living magazine and die PIRSCH magazine in Germany. Additionally, his works have won awards in Alaska Magazine’s & Cowboys & Indians magazine’s photo competitions and in the Alaska Society of Outdoor and Nature Photographers’ juried photo competition. Fucci is a three-time finalist of the Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Photography Awards.
