FVCC Collects Warm Coats for a Good Cause

Flathead Valley Community College’s Recycling Club is collecting clean, gently-used coats and jackets of all sizes for its One Warm Coat drive.  One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to distributing reusable coats, free of charge, directly to local children and adults.  The program is an easy way for local families to pass along coats and jackets they no longer need.

The One Warm Coat collection bin is located inside the main foyer of Blake Hall on the FVCC campus and will remain through November 30.  All donated coats will be given to Feeding the Flathead/Community Kitchen, Samaritan House, and other local community organizations that will distribute the coats at no cost to people in need.

Since One Warm Coat was founded in 1992, more than one million coats have been provided to those in need nationwide at no cost.
