FVCC Art Department Hosts Reception & Show for Multi-Media Artist Stephen Glueckert
Flathead Valley Community College’s Art Department will host a reception featuring the multi-media works of Missoula artist Stephen Glueckert on September 11. Free and open to the public, the reception will run from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery on the lower level of the Arts and Technology Building. Light refreshments will be served.
Glueckert has taught art at the University of Montana, the University of Papua New Guinea and throughout the Pacific Northwest. He is Curator Emeritus at the Missoula Art Museum after serving as curator there for more than 20 years. In 2016, he received the Missoula Arts Cultural Achievement Award. In addition to being a practicing artist, he has written extensively about contemporary artists living and working in Montana. His recent illustrated publications include “The Blind Men and the Elephant” and “The Bible Illustrated.”
