FVCC Art Department Announces Spring Student Art Show

The Flathead Valley Community College Art Department’s spring Student Art Show will open April 19 with an open house featuring live art demonstrations by FVCC art students and Art Department faculty.   The event will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Student Art Gallery and the Art Department inside the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.

The Student Art Show will be comprised of hundreds of various works created by students enrolled in FVCC art classes this spring.  Works will include paintings, watercolor, photography, graphics, drawings, ceramics, design and jewelry.

Guests attending the open house will be invited to participate in the live demonstrations.  Additionally, the college’s ceramics classes will conduct raku firing demonstrations outside the ceramics studio.  Complimentary refreshments will be provided at the event.

The Spring Student Art Show is free and open to the public and will remain on display through May 11.  The show can be viewed Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
