FVCC Art Department Announces Fall Student Art Show

Flathead Valley Community College’s Art Department’s fall student art show will begin with an open house on November 17 from 6-9 p.m. in the Student Art Gallery in the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.   The art show will consist of work in all media from this semester’s courses including painting, drawing, design, ceramics, photography, graphics, and jewelry.  Hundreds of pieces will be on display for the public to view.

During the open house students and faculty will be working in all of FVCC’s art studios and visitors will be encouraged to participate. Additionally, David Smith, FVCC ceramics instructor, and his ceramics students will be conducting raku firing demonstrations outside the ceramics studio.  Refreshments will be served during the open house.

The fall student art show is free and open to the public and will remain up for viewing until December 16.  For more information please contact John Rawlings at 756-3896.
