FVCC Announces Fall 2015 Paramedicine Application Deadline
Flathead Valley Community College has announced the application deadline for fall admission into the college’s paramedicine program is April 15 at 5 p.m. The four-semester professional degree program includes both classroom and hands-on training and prepares students for careers in pre-hospital emergency medical care. Classes are held during the fall, spring and summer semesters. Students who complete the program will be prepared to take the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT) practical and written certification examinations. Upon passing the examinations, students will be eligible to apply for paramedic licensure through the Montana Board of Medical Examiners.
Space in the program is limited. In order to apply for admission into the program, entry-level course prerequisites are required to be completed or are in the process of being completed. In addition, Valid NREMT certification at the emergency medical technician (EMT) level and a Montana EMT license are required to apply. Candidates also may be required to pass an entrance examination and screening process and are subject to comprehensive background checks.
