Flathead Valley Community College is now accepting applications for fall entry into the Pharmacy Technology Certificate program. The deadline for application submissions is May 12 at 4 p.m.
The Certificate program is a two-semester program offering both classroom and clinical experiences. The second semester includes internships in retail and hospital pharmacies. Graduates of the program will be prepared to sit for the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) nationally accredited certification exams. Space in the program is limited.
Students who meet the prerequisite requirements by the application deadline are eligible to apply for admission into the program. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age on the first day of fall semester in order to be eligible to apply for admission. Admission criteria include: the applicant’s placement test scores into Math 120 and Writing 101 or grade point average for required prerequisite courses, letters of reference and a cover letter. Final acceptance into the program requires passing a background check.
New students are required to complete the FVCC application for admission and follow the steps for enrolling, including submitting official transcripts if transfer credits are to be considered.
