Dave Bennett and The Memphis Speed Kings to Perform at FVCC
Proceeds to Benefit FVCC Music Scholarships.
Flathead Valley Community College will welcome vintage rock n’ roll band Dave Bennett and The Memphis Speed Kings for a special performance at Flathead Valley Community College October 2.
The Searcy, Arkansas-based band will perform classic rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll music from the 1950s. Guests will enjoy listening and dancing to smash-hit tunes by Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry and other rockabilly pioneers.
Whitefish’s Blue Avenue will open the evening with a pre-show performance beginning at 7 p.m. The affair will feature a dance floor, complimentary refreshments and a no-host bar. Patrons are encouraged to dress in1950s attire.
The event will take place in the large community meeting room in the college’s Arts and Technology Building. Admission is $5 for students with identification and $10 for general admission. Proceeds will benefit scholarships for FVCC music students.
Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.fvcc.edu/jazz or at the FVCC Bookstore Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door the night of the show.
