CASA and FVCC Host Training on the Impact of Childhood Trauma
In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Court Appointed Special Advocates has partnered with Flathead Valley Community College’s Service Learning program to host the free training, “The Impact of Trauma on Children.”
Presented by Child Welfare Specialist Marci Buckles, the event will take place April 13 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the large community room inside the Arts & Technology building on the FVCC Kalispell campus. Ideal for all social justice and advocacy vocations and anyone interested in learning more about childhood trauma, the training will focus on what trauma is, what it looks like in children in the foster care system and how you can help. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
