Best-Selling Author Teaches Writers to Think Like Business Owners in FVCC Class
Amazon best-selling author Kathy Dunnehoff will share what she has learned about how to manage a successful writing business in a three-hour Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) Continuing Education class on February 10.
The Write Plan will help writers develop a system for tracking finances, marketing and identifying key resources and partners, among other components of running a profitable business. “Writers like to focus on the creative side of our craft,” said Dunnehoff. “We don’t tend to want to think about the business end of it. I wish I’d had this kind of overview prior to getting published with Amazon.”
Dunnehoff is the author of four romantic comedy novels: “The Do-Over”, “Plan on It”, “Back to U” and “Hollywood Beginnings.” She is the recipient of a Zola Award from the Pacific Northwest Writers Association, a Top 10 Indie Bestseller at IndieReader and a BookRooster reviewer’s pick. Her screenplays have placed in numerous competitions.
In addition to her writing business, Dunnehoff has taught writing and creativity courses at FVCC for the past 24 years.
