Community Nominee Criteria

Deadline: May 10, 2018

Each year, a committee appointed by the FVCC President will award special recognition to a community member to recognize outstanding leadership, service and philanthropy to Flathead Valley Community College.

Nomination Criteria

  • Outstanding contributions of leadership, service and philanthropy to FVCC.
  • Active support and loyalty to the College, its mission, values, and goals.

Eligibility

  • Any community member can be nominated for the Community Eagle Award.
  • Recipients may only receive the award once.
  • Prior nominees not selected for the award are eligible to be nominated again.

Nomination

College employees and community members may nominate candidates who meet these criteria using the nomination form.

Announcement of Award Winner

The winner of the Community Eagle Award will be announced at the annual President’s Dinner.

Employee Nominee Criteria

Each year, the president of Flathead Valley Community College will award special recognition to a regular employee to recognize outstanding performance.

Nomination Criteria

  • Promotions of strong positive interpersonal relationships and working with others to create a sense of true community in the workplace.
  • Complete job mastery and performance that far exceeds the College’s expectations
  • Active support and loyalty to the College, its mission, values, and goals.

Eligibility

  • An employee must be in a full- or part-time regular position; AND, in good standing with the College for three years, AND have at least three years of performance appraisals.
  • Recipients may only receive the award once.
  • Prior nominees not selected for the award are eligible to be nominated again.

Nomination Process

  • You must be a College employee to nominate employee candidates who meet the nomination criteria.
  • An FVCC employee can nominate another employee with approval from the nominee’s supervisor.
  • Using the guidelines on the nomination form, the nominator should state the ways the individual nominee meets the criteria. This will include the name and phone number of one additional reference who has first-hand knowledge of the nominee’s job performance.
  • The nominating party shall be sure that references are willing and able to provide to the committee information about the individual being nominated.
  • Supervisors shall review and approve all nominations.
  • The Executive Team will make recommendations of nominees to the president.
  • The president will review the recommendations and determine the final award recipients.

Announcement of Award Winner

The winner of the Community Eagle Award will be announced at the Fall In-Service.
