Artist Statement:

As a photographer, my mission is to open people’s eyes to the beauty
that surrounds them—the vibrant cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and
the extraordinary animals that share this world with us. What first drew me
to photography was the ability to preserve moments in time, capturing
memories that can be cherished for years to come. I want to showcase the
richness of cultures through their ceremonies, gatherings, and the
emotions that fill these moments—joy, pride, and honor—that often remain
unseen by those outside of those communities.
I find awe in the majestic landscapes of our world, from towering
mountains to serene lakes, and in the animals, plants, and birds that call
these places home. I’ve had the privilege of photographing rare moments,
like a Mountain Goat allowing me to capture its beauty, or a mother and
baby antelope, both incredibly moving sights. Witnessing the thunderous
power of a buffalo herd passing by, and trying to capture the raw respect
they command, fills me with deep reverence. These encounters, when I
am invited to document their existence, are humbling and profoundly
inspiring.
My passion also lies in capturing the fleeting, intimate moments in
people’s lives—moments that transcend time and can be passed down
through generations. Photographs become a bridge to the past, a way for
future family members to connect with the lives and stories of those who
came before them. Through my work, I aim to show people just how
beautiful they are, highlighting the quiet moments in between the big
events, and preserving them for posterity.
